LOCATION OF THE COUNCIL


Oia has an extension of 84 km2, this one placed to the southwest of the province of Pontevedra, close to O Rosal, A Guarda, Tomiño and Tui and forms the region of O Baixo Miño. It borders in the northern part on Baiona; in the southern part with O Rosal; in the eastern part is Tomiño and by the west the immense Atlantic Ocean.

The council of Oia is formed by six parishes: Burgueira, Loureza, Mougás, Santa María de Oia, Pedornes and Viladesuso.
